A tachyon or tachyonic particle is a hypothetical particle that always travels faster than light. BYD welcomes the TACHYON; a cosmetically enhanced ATTO 3 Extended Range.
The all new ATTO 3 TACHYON is available in the Extended Range vehicle only. Incorporating the larger of the two Blade batteries – a 60kWh unit – giving a 420km range (WLTP combined figure).
TACHYON operates from a single front-wheel-drive motor producing 150kW of power and 310Nm of torque delivering a 0 to 100km/h time in 7.3 seconds.

Interior Outfit
The Tachyon upgrade replaces the original blue and white with genuine premium leather upholstery and suede dash inserts. There are also upmarket materials on the doors and the centre console. The upgrade spans the entire cabin, front and back. The transformation of leather seats makes the Tachyon feel luxurious.

The Tachyon Edition also covers the tyres. The Tachyon Edition ships with factory original 20” alloys and Continental’s premium MaxContact MC6 rubbers. “It shouldn’t leave anyone wanting on the tyre front”, writes Kiwi motoring publisher Tarmac Life.
Tinted windows, Tachyon decals and badging replace the stock Build Your Dreams insignia on the boot, giving the Tachyon a distinctive upgrade all ’round.
